Be your own authentic light.

Now is a perfect time to set intentions to believe in your own power and create the life you want. Love yourself unconditionally. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. You are enough. This is a time of authenticity and new beginnings.

This is the initiation phase, a space to set intentions and where we can confront the shadow sides. Radical self-love, acceptance, and expressing who you are is what is needed now. It’s time to shine with courage, pride, and inherent self-worth. A time to be generous and genuine and receive generosity from others. A time to be creative and embrace your sovereignty by reconnecting to your power. Don’t be afraid to love yourself; don’t overdue loving yourself into egotistical behavior. This is not a time to pour your love into someone else, hoping they will validate you, which is codependent. You are enough on your own, and your clarity about what you genuinely desire sends a message to the Creator’s Universe. Be a light for others in this world. Be passionate. And remember, you cannot control what other people think so focus on yourself.

Be aware of the shadow sides of destructive behavior, whether yours or someone else’s. Become aware of manipulation, egotistical behavior, narcissistic traits rearing their ugly heads, making someone else feel inferior to hurt them because you feel hurt, needing external validation from others, or needing to be noticed to feel good about yourself or making decisions from a place of fear or guilt. Are you accomplishing things out of a sense of lack? Are you seeking approval from others so you feel validated? Where are you self-betraying?  Where are you feeling guilty in your life?

Honesty is required to grow. Try to understand something about yourself. Be gentle with yourself and do what feels authentic just to you. Trust in that. Have faith in that. You deserve love and kindness. If you feel drained by somebody, or you’re making choices from a place of fear, this is the moment to walk away from that habit. Recalibrate. Come back to yourself, and have the courage to make your life up however you desire. It doesn’t matter who else lives with you or is dependent on you; this is not a selfish act. You are not meant to sacrifice yourself for your dependents. Loving yourself and honoring your truth allows you to love others more authentically, too, and they need the real, authentic you more than the self-sacrificing performance version of you.

Being conscious about your intentions is essential because they may be tested. If you put yourself out there, and you’re vulnerable and become uncomfortable, that’s okay because that activity is meant to come up around your intentions. Change is painful and brings up complicated feelings for you and everyone else. That’s okay. That’s supposed to happen to transform. By cultivating your awareness, you can work with it and not let it discourage you or stop your growth. Planning for change and growth will allow you to roll with whatever happens. Make choices from your heart and be in your heart’s truth. Let go of fear and listen to your heart, and in a couple of weeks, change will begin to happen, and shadows will begin to appear. And ideally, you’ll be learning to let go of what doesn’t work for you anymore in your life. By journaling, you can start reflecting on what you’re learning and integrating it into your life over the next month. Here are some questions to reflect on.

  • What aspects of your life would change if you believed in yourself and didn't have to compare yourself with others?

  • Are you diminishing yourself or giving your power away by hiding your talents and abilities?

  • Are there moments where you're doing something because you think you should be doing it, and you're acting out of guilt?

  • Are you creating your life in a way that feels joyous and inspiring?

  • Do you feel powerful and confident regardless of your accomplishments or what others think of you?

  • Do you truly love who you authentically are? Or are you waiting for someone else to love you before you can love yourself?

I wish you all the best. The world needs your unique, authentic, and truthful light. You’ve got this.
